LIVELIHOOD TRAINING PROGRAM

livelihoodWe want that our schools or beneficiaries be empowered and self - reliant. We choose 2 schools yearly to be the recipient of our Commercial Baking Training done by the Philippine Foremost Milling Corporation (one of the companies of La Filipina Uy Gongco Corp). We organize an intensive training for teachers and parents. We also supply the schools with the basic equipment as well as initial ingredients needed to start commercial baking in their school canteen. Technical support and monitoring are done by PFMC and UFI.

Aside from this, we also organize training in sewing of used tarpaulin into bags and used flour bags into eco bags, aprons and bandanas (for our feeding schools) and meat processing during the Christmas season. We also partnered with Ang Hortaleza Foundation in their "Ganda Mo Hanapbuhay Ko" livelihood training program in which the mothers of our beneficiaries are taught on the basic skills of haircutting, manicure and pedicure etc. These skills will let them have added income for the family. Basic tools or equipment will also be provided for the participants in this training to let them start earning.
