feeding programThe La Filipina Uy Gongco Corporation is a family business that caters to production of flour, feeds, and sugar as well as it is into trading and hotel business. The company has been blessed all these years thus the chairman Dr. Alfonso Uy together with incorporators namely: Mr. Felipe Uygongco, Ms. Aileen Uygongco-Ongkauko, Mr. Kenneth Uygongco, Mr. Terence Uygongco, Mr. Julian Uygongco and Ms. Ethel Valencia Uygongco decided to establish a foundation as a way of giving back to the community where they are present thus, the birth of UYGONGCO FOUNDATION, INC.

Uygongco Foundation, Inc. or UFI was established in April 2008 but started to operate in May 2009. Ms. Ma. Pia Paz Gan-Uygongco heads the foundation as Executive Director, Ms. Mary Jean Solidio as Program Officer and Ms. Mary Joy Casalmer as Finance and Admin Officer. The foundation caters to the communities where the company, La Filipina Uy Gongco Corp. is present. To date, the foundation is in Iloilo City, Guimaras and Capiz as pilot communities and has adopted 15 public schools spread among these areas.
